Is your horse or pony getting too fat?

You need to act before laminitis happens.

Meet The LiteBite Horse Technology

.

How is it new and different? Your horse can take a full, natural bite — not a forced nibble — because of the anatomically shaped long Grazing Slot.

So instead of frustrated poking at a tiny hole, your horse lowers its head and chews calmly, just as nature intended.

Because of that, the anxiety, pawing, and head shaking fade away — and peace returns
You can finally relax, knowing your horse isn’t stressed out every time it eats.

This way, the weight comes off without turning every meal into a mental battle.

How the Litebite grazing muzzle came to be

Hi, are you like me and have a pony that just won't stop eating? She is my dream horse but it is so difficult to protect them from themselves and laminitis, but most grazing muzzles are hard and horrible. My Skye did get fat, she is a good doer, yes my fault, I hardly noticed as it was gradual, but one awful day she came in lame, hopping lame and the vet said 'laminitis'

I had no idea how bad this was going to be, what has her diet got to do with her feet anyway? Well I know now, it's everything to do with it. So began the huge learning curve which I hope never happens to you, it was beyond awful.

When she was eating too much I did try lots of different pony muzzles but she hated them and wouldn't eat, hence I invented this new soft, flexible muzzle: the LiteBite pony muzzle which worked.

Are you worried about your overweight pony? Act now before things go really wrong,

I can't tell you how awful laminitis is, now Skye is thinner and back in work but it took a year of hope and anguish. Don't let this happen to you.

Let this kindest of soft, flexible grazing muzzles keep your pony safe, full money back guarantee if doesn't suit. Celie.

PS. Some of the images above are of a different colour muzzle, it is now WHITE as per top pic of Skye wearing it.

Top Tip - I don't know why we didn't think of it before, but to introduce them to eating with the LiteBite: Be standing on grass. Attach muzzle to headcollar. Smear some Lickit, honey or similar inside on muzzle floor. Put muzzle on. As they push down to get Lickit, some grass will pop through the slot. They just keep going. The Lickit left on the muzzle will just wash off.

What's new about this muzzle?

What's so good about it?

1. Do you worry about tooth wear?

The LiteBite muzzle flexes gently with each bite thanks to its soft-tension interface — not hard plastic that grates on the teeth.
So instead of clacking, scraping, and chewing damage, your horse moves quietly and comfortably through each meal.
Because of that, you don’t have to worry about dental wear, gum injuries, or cracked molars.
You will feel confident knowing your horse is not only losing weight but staying healthy doing it.
Every time you check their mouth, you’ll be relieved there’s no damage — just progress.

2. Do you spend a ton of time fixing rubs?.

The Litebite horse muzzle moves around with eating, flares out to match your halter noseband so does not rub. Totally flexible, squidgy.

4. Do you look at a little round hole and despair?

Thanks to the LiteBite Horse Technology, the unique innovative grazing slot allows a full natural bite so much easier to eat through but they don't get much.

5. Do you wonder what muzzles are made of and are they safe to bite on all day?

The LiteBite is kind to teeth soft, bespoke engineered from food safe material

6. Does your horse happily eat out of the sides?

They can’t eat out of the sides with the special Houdini straps, (supplied) you can try without some or all of these later if want, adjust the muzzle to suit

7. Can your pony breathe easily in his muzzle?

All day? Or does it fill up with stuff?

The LiteBite has plenty of airflow you can make more but probably don’t need to

8. Some muzzles just won't adjust to fit

Velcro easy adjust, all sides can be independently lowered/raised to fit

9. Easy adjustable sizing

Due to flaring muzzle design, see pic on left, it matches the freedom of your headcollar

10. Can my horse drink with a grazing muzzle?

Easy drinking, the slot allows a good strong draw and just drains out when finished, doesn't go soggy

11. Can they still groom each other?

Yes. Thanks to the shape of the unique grazing slot

12. Fed up with muzzles breaking?

Very strong soft material but still soft, won't break. The Velcro will give way if caught up

13. Fed up with mouldy muzzles?

Easy clean, water just drains out, bits don’t pile up inside

14.Do you hate putting a soggy muzzle on your pony?

The LiteBite dries quickly, doesn't absorb water and so get heavy

15. Food safe material

16. Do you watch your horse standing there, with a muzzle on, not eating and despair?

Eat almost immediately Most ponies just eat with the Litebite horse muzzle, no miserable “I can’t eat” faces for longer than you can stand (see left)

17. Eat long or short grass.

Most ponies can also pick in hedges

18. Sunburnt noses?

This material reduces sun impact, pure white whereas black muzzles hold heat

19. Guarantee 6 months no quibble

Think you need to give this soft grazing muzzle a go?

The system naturally reduces intake volume by calibrating how much grass is allowed per full bite.
This way, your horse eats at a normal rhythm — without feeling panicked or deprived.
Because of that, they stay mentally grounded while gradually returning to their healthy weight.
You can stop fearing behavioural backlash or mood swings that come from starvation-style muzzling.
Even if past methods led to chewing frenzies or resistance, this approach keeps them calm, satisfied, and steadily improving.

Your horse will thank you and you will feel much better.

Sizes: as the flare out of the muzzle matches the round of your halter noseband, it has plenty of room to move about when eating, it is supposed to move around so they don't feel trapped.

NOTE: Halter not included. (GS Equine has a adaptor clip to make yours fieldsafe, only about £3)

Order a larger size if not sure. You really must use a field safe headcollar even though the Litebite horse or pony muzzle velcro will give if caught up

Measure around nose 1 inch below cheek bone:

Pony 14 - 16.5 inch, 10 to 13hh approx, average small pony.

Cob 17-22.5 inch, my 14.2hh Connemara is Cob

Horse 23-25 inch, bigger headed cobs, warmbloods.

Mini under 14 inch

We haven't found any horses or ponies that can't get on with this new soft horse or pony grazing muzzle.

Take a look and try it on your fatty, full money back without fuss

if it doesn't suit or work for you - PS: it will work though!

It's lovely to watch Skye just eating, nibbling at the hedge and grooming her friend, your fur baby can do this too, what's to lose? Give it a try, can't in all conscience say they will 'love it' but they will not resent it so much, that I can say.

Skye being a model

Here she is happily eating, showing her Litebite horse muzzle and losing weight, I will enlarge the grazing slot when she is slim enough. Just love the crunching sounds.

He wears it happily every time he goes out with no protesting.

It's the best muzzle I've ever used.
Your muzzle it's by far the best out there I've told loads of people about it. Xx

I stand by saying this would 110% rival any muzzle on the market.

KM one of first testers for the LiteBite Horse Muzzle

He seems to be finding it easier to get grass. I think that’s because of the slot instead of the hole.
Left him too it whilst I muck out. He seems very happy!
I’m really pleased with it. He figured how to get grass a lot quicker than the others. He hated the basket one. The thin line I gave up, he couldn’t understand how to eat with it.

JC Verifield Purchaser, .

Just to say Quirky wore his muzzle for 3hrs happily today! so far very positive and a happy pony and owner!!! Just building up on wear slowly. I made the slot just a few mm wider today too..going carefully as you say can't put it back .
Thank you very much...

Good morning
Thanks for your email, i ordered one for our 15.1hh cob x trotter x connemara and tried it for size on our 14.2hh arab x welsh it's a bit on the big side but i think the pony would definitely be too small. So yes i do need this other one. Spencer is getting along fine with his. They have had the greenguard on but i'm concerned about tooth wear and yours are nice and soft.
Thanks again, DL
